Happy New Year
I know I am a little late with my New Year wishes but we have just returned home after spending a lovely Hogmanay with friends in the Scottish Highlands. My resolution for 2012 is to spend more time crafting and keeping up to date with my blog. Life very much got in the way at the latter half of 2011. I wish you all a happy and healthy 2012 with lots of happy crafting.

Straight Line Challenge
The challenge this week over at the Sugar Nellie page on Facebook was the make a card with straight lines only. I used Belle Flower from SUGAR NELLIE I thought I really should use some of my older stamps before the new release of sweetness on Thursday. She is coloured with Promarkers, the dp is from my stash. This is the first time I have done black hair and I have to say I am sure it will be the last time unless by some miracle I manage to get it right.

HELP FOR KRAFTY KAREN - PICTURE ADDED
Please could you spare a few minutes to read the post on Wendy's blog as she puts this so much better than I could. Karen is a friend who is a very talented crafter, she has been going through a tough time over the past couple of years yet she always manages to stay cheerful and supportive of her crafting friends. Maybe you could also pop over to Karen's blog and take a look at all her lovely work. Thanks.
I have come back to this post with a little extra for you all. I bought some of Karen's designs this morning and thought I would share it with you. I haven't done it justice as there are more decoupage layers to be added but my hand and scissors just aren't compatible this morning. I have added a little glitter as our Karen loves her glitter.

Retail Therapy
Yesterday was our 39th Wedding Anniversary and my lovely other half took me on a trip to Elgin to the home of SUGAR NELLIE among the purchases I made was this lovely image. I have used her to transform a couple of very inexpensive note books, I am busy making items for my Christmas sales table and thought these would be ideal.
As usual I have used Promarkers to colour her, the papers are from my stash.

Where has the time gone
Afternoon all, I cannot believe how long it has been since my last post on here. It is a beautiful sunny afternoon here after a morning of rain, I hope we get more sunny days. I have a very simple card to share today it is another one for the men in our lives. The image is from LITTLE CLAIRE and the sentiment is from CREATE WITH TLC. As usual I have coloured the image with Promarkers then edged it with Distress ink. The card background has been stamped with the beer glass image from the stamp set again with Distress Ink. I am off to sit in the sun to enjoy a nice cool drink.

Something for the Boys
I always struggle when it comes to making cards for Males. I found these lovely stamps from Papermania on my trip to the Home of Sugar Nellie Yesterday and I think they fit the bill perfectly. I stamped the image onto Kraft Cardstock, a bit of faux stitching some distress ink and voila. So simple why didn't I think of it before, I think I will make a batch of these up as there are 6 stamps in the set. It is a dull and rather chilly day here in the North East of Scotland - a perfect crafting day.

A Gift For Teacher
First of all I would like to say sorry to my blogging buddies for not commenting on all your lovely creations but I am having problems like many of us with blogger.
My grandaughter leaves Primary School at the end of this term so I have made her a gift for her teacher, I hope she likes what I have come up with. I stamped Winking Student from SUGAR NELLIE on a canvas then coloured her with Promarkers. The wooden frame I have decoupatched, the sentiment is from CREATE WITH TLC flowers are from my stash. I must admit I felt a little sad making this as it doesn't seem very long since she had her first day at Primary School.
