JOY

I thought I would have a try at decorating a box so this is my first attempt.  I just love this Simply Adorable Stamp and have used her a few times.  I bought an inexpensive wooden box and painted it with Tim Holtz Crackle Paint, I used Dusty Concord  and Picket Fence then gave it a light sand in a few places.  The flowers and Gingham Ribbon were found in my stash.

It has been another dark dull day here in our corner of NE Scotland, I am looking forward to spring and seeing all the shoots springing up in the garden.  My card today is made with a digi stamp I bought from Jak Heath for the Help For Katie fundraiser.  I have put a link on my side bar if you would like to take a look.  Once again I have used my Grand Calibur to make the card.  This is for a friend of mine who is having a tough time just now so I hope this will cheer her up or at least make her smile.

It has been so long since I last had time to blog.  I hope that you are all settling back into a routine after the festivities.  I am having great fun playing with the new range of Adorables both in rubber and digi available from FUNKY KITS a huge thanks to Karen at the House of Sugar for bringing these beauties to us.  For someone like me who struggles with shading these images are a dream come true.  I would like to share with you the first card I have done with one of the images she is called "JOY"  I was very lucky to get a Grand Calibur at Christmas so have used it to make the card itself.
